I think the point made by you and others is correct, Feebay is forcing out the little guy with the cheap chips. I know a book seller who readily acknowledges that he could care less what the book sells for, he makes his money on shipping. The whole thingbugsme because it feels dishonest. My own reaction, so I generally avoid ebay.

I also agree that you will find some fair (even great big wonerful generous) prices here on the board. While at the convention I spent most of my time going through the $2 or less boxes (which as always contained some deals), it did seem to me that prices varied more than usual across the floor.
