In my quest to find one of these chips before they disappear for good, I thought I'd go out on a limb and email Mahoney's to see if they'd sell me one from the vault. (I know, I know...) Well, I asked nicely, and the response I got from one Joe Cain was very terse:

"Sorry, but we can't help you. The gaming control board redemption period is over and these chips are scheduled for destruction."

All the more reason to let just one little bitty $100 chip go so I can complete my stinkin' set, I say! SO if anyone is heading out to the Silver Nugget any time soon and feels lke schmoozing someone in the cage, I'd be happy to pay you extra for the time and trouble and gas.
