From all that I have read here, these people put in a year long effort to make this convention a success and from all the feedback posted here, it was all that and more.
There seems to be a consensus of opinion that regardless of the politics involved behind the scenes, the manner in which these people were terminated left a lot to be desired. It was totally in poor taste a slap in the face and almost rings of some form of revenge.
I think that the board owes these two a public debt of gratitude AND an open apology as to how this was handled.
If in fact there was strife behing the scenes which it is my understanding was the case then they should have either been given the opportunity to graciously resign or the firings should have been done at a much less "visible" time.
