I would personally like to thank all of the CC>CC Volunteers that worked tirelessly in helping make the 2008 Convention a complete success. Without your valuable service we wouldn't have been able to complete our task at hand. To see the dedication to the club from the volunteers and members alike was overwhelming. To see the heartwarming smiles and fun they were having made the entire task worthwhile in my eyes. This is first and foremost a hobby, something to have fun with. It was wonderful to see and meet many collectors and dealers I had not previously met. We aspire to bring new younger members into the club and I had the chance to meet many of these new members at the show. Thank you to our friends that supported Mike and I when the going got rough and we needed an extra push (you know who you are). Sometimes it just take a pat on the back and a pep talk to get you through. We faced many challenges this year, and as far as I am concerned the show went off exactly as planned. Despite all of the hard work I enjoyed the show immensely.
In regards to the timing in which Mike was asked to step down I too, along with many other members feel it was inappropriate. Another place, another time would have been preferable. I have conveyed this sentiment to the BOD and am currently waiting on furthur comment from them. I am choosing to take the high road and keep the details off the board for the time being out of respect to all involved. Mike may desire to share his feelings on this matter, but I will leave that open to him as it is his private business.
Regards,
Dawn Satter
