Hi Steve. Gene is the Tournament Director, so he has the final word.
IMO it would be difficult to schedule before the tournament as the time is pretty close between end of the club's business meeting and the start of the tournament. Instead, a better time would be the break just before the final table starts playing (assuming there's a break at that time). Should be an empty table to use for chip shuffling demonstration for anyone interested. Something to do for all the railbirds that have busted out by that time <g>. Maybe including me!
I learned how to shuffle chips 15+ years ago, after watching other poker players in Vegas. Brought home a stack of 50c purple chips from the Las Vegas Hilton at the time to practice with. (That's how long ago it was!) Have since sold or traded all but 2 from that stack. I used to be pretty good, but haven't done it in a while. The last hand of poker I played was at last year's tournament. True story!
