Several years ago we were in Virginia City. An antique shop had a stack of slot glasses, one of which was from The Gold Club. The shop owner didn't know where that was, so had it priced very low, but we recognized the logo as being from Sparks , and bought it. I don't remember what else we bought that trip, but I decided the glass would be safer in the suitcase, well padded with clothing. Can you guess where this story is going...? United Airlines lost the bag for several days... of course, the glass was broken when the suitcase finally showed up. The only good news is that we hadn't paid much.
