Don, the drop chips serve small card clubs in that if they were to drop the
live chips each hand and happen to have several tables in play and a limited
number of live chips then soon there would be a chip shortage( all in the
drop box). I have seen this happen at more that one card club..The solution
is to have the dealers keep the live chips in the rack and drop a separate
drop chip and turn in the live chips on break....Some clubs use the tournament
chips a drop chips some use obsolete chips.
