Printers hold 200 to 800 blank tickets. Each ticket is good for a cashout of any size. And the printer warns the system when it is low. And a "fill" doesn't require the paperwork and accountability of a coin fill. And if the printer is empty, the machine may be able to fall back to a hopper pay.

How many cashouts do you suppose a hopper holds, if players are not putting in coins? It sure ain't 200! If players still used coin the way they used to, vouchers would not be of the interest they are. Slot machines played with coin rarely need fills. Players are obviously using pieces of paper to play slots already. It's called money. Folding money. Paper money. It's a voucher from the US government.
