The Desert Inn opened in April of 1950. grin

The 1950 phone book lists The Bowery L.A. Highway phone 5553. No Bowery listed in 1951, the 1952 phone book lists a Bowery on North Main, in North Las Vegas. Couldn't find any Bowery listings after that.
