What's just as sad is that the three experienced guys that put The Cip Rack out all of these years are seriously risking loosing everything. There is great risk to them that another chip price guide put of for Nevada, and that they lose their once very loyal following. Official Price Guide also has not put one out in time for the convention, which makes things even more difficult for collectors. I don;t really know why, maybe because he was very busy with life, or maybe there's just too many books still left on the shelf. But no matter what reason, chip collectors are the ones that suffer.
So many people will be thinking values for chips are far above what they should really be , not knowing of the "find".
How many Horseshoe chips will bring far too much money. How many Silver Slipper? How many old Flamingo?? How many old Tropicana? The list goes on and on. You get the idea.
Bad for them, bad for us.
I only hope someone takes the ball and runs with it fast. At this point, it'll be the first person that puts the time in. If another guide comes out...the old standards could very well be a thing of the past. They will have no one to blame but themselves.
REALLY unfortunate for the new collectors.
