There is of course WikiPedia, but also many special interest Wikis out there. A ChipWiki could be owned by the club, with either an existing Officer (Webmaster, Club Librarian) or new position created to maintain the technical aspects of it and to control access. Anyone could submit information, articles and new chips, but a group of volunteers could review, proofread and approve/disapprove new entries and additions to the system, and perhaps one the 3 Wise Men (TCR authors) could assign TCR numbers. If they are unable to, maybe we can start new designations. I've always loved the fact that we have a great chipper community out there, and this would be way for us to share information.
The biggest barrier to this is the technical expertise needed to get it running and the initial surge of information that would be simply overwhelming, but once it got up and running, it would be a great central repository for all the casino collectibles information and stories that are out there. Past articles from the club magazine could be posted, and the great stories accumulated by people like Doug Saito (whose conventions presentations I've always enjoyed) could be shared by all.
I know this would be a HUGE undertaking, but this is just an idea I had. Please don't flame me for posting an idea.
