Is it true that this chip was pulled as noted in this eBay listing?

This is a rare $10 Green New York New York Casino Chip from the New York New York Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. These were immediately removed from circulation due to the fact that they resembled $25 chips when stacked. This chip was issued as a grand opening commemorative.

I never had any trouble getting this chip from the cage in the past, always seems to be plentiful.
