The Pioneer Inn was a small casino located on S. Virginia St - down across the river from the other casinos. My wife and I loved the place - it was big enough to have a couple of restaurants and a decent gaming area. I think they had one Craps table and half a dozen 21 tables. The staff was very friendly - it was a great place to stay and play for folks on a budget. It was open from 1972 until 2000. The City of Reno bought the place and turned it into a parking lot - sad day for me.... I never saw them use these chips so I don't know much about them.
