Re: NCR- non-chip of the day...Swizzle sticks! grin

1. swizzle:

PAUL W. WARNER
CACTUS GARDEN
Las Vegas, Nevada

Fuller's index was no help
TGT listed a Cactus Garden at 2576 E. Charleston, c. 1935-1939
The 1939 phone book listed a Cactus Beer Garden on Winterwood Road.

Can anyone offer any help on this one??

2. swizzle:

FREMONT TAVERN
"Don't Forget Us"
Las Vegas, Nevada

Neither Fuller's index or TGT had any info

Fremont Tavern is listed in the 1939 phone book at 101 Fremont

3. Same as #2, but a different color

4. swizzle:

GOLDEN CAMEL

Fuller lists the Golden Camel on North 1st Street...twice. Owner Rumph from 1931 - c. 1932, licensed for slots, 21 and craps.
Owner Joe Morgan from 1938 - c. 1939, licensed for slots, 21 and craps.

TGT and the phone book list the address as 110 North First Street.

5. swizzle:

MISSION BAR

Fuller lists the Mission Club at 2nd & Fremont from 4/8/1939 'til 9/10/1940, licensed for slots, 21, craps and roulette.

TGT lists the Mission Casino at 129 E. Fremont from 1938-1938

1939 phone book lists the Mission Bar at 131 Fremont...for whatever it's worth, it also lists Mission Taxi at 131 Fremont! grin
