The room refurbishment is not yet complete on the older rooms. You might request a refurbished room when you reserve.
If you stay in the newer Monte Carlo tower, ask for room on the pool side, not the north side. Hi rise construcion noice can be objectionable if you sleep late.
The restrooms in the casino near the old Splash bar are blocked off and in-accessible. Hopefully this is short term. The alternative mens-room requires climbing a flight of stairs near the italian restaurant.
The hotel is converting to a different supplier of room-safes. Not all rooms have safes at this time. If this is important to you, ask for a room that has one. Cashiers cage has free safe deposit boxes, but maybe not large enough fit binders of your chips.
Due to upgrades of the utility power supplying the hotel, there are intermittent blackouts, usually scheduled in the wee hours of the morning. There is emergency lighting in the hallways, but your room will be black, and the alarm clocks may not work. I believe this affects only Monte Carlo (the newest tower).
On a Tuesday this week, the hotel seems to be full, mainly due to convention business. Much better occupancy than I would have thought. June could be high occupancy as well. Might want to get your res in now if you're going to patronize the convention hotel.
