... lots of chips, draughtsmen, dice and piano keys came from their towns. They've found drawing, templates and other turning equipment thru the years, but I would agree NYC did more than anyone.

I have one ivory catalog from Australia that lists round counters (any colour) at 5/- per dozen for 7/8 diam; 6/- for 1-inch; 7/6 for 1-1/8; 11/ for 1-1/4 and up to 26/- for 1-1/2" (all per dozen count).
