The ivory manufacturers were very distintictive. They were about 13 feet tall and weight 5 tons.

Now one company that produced checks from the ivory was Will & Finck of San Francisco. Dale Seymour shows a page from their 1896 catalog: 600 ivory faro checks for $150 (25¢ each). W. Suydam of NYC in its 1880 catalog also lists ivory faro checks at 25¢ each.

Then we have the guy down in Georgia that is cranking out ivory chips today. We won't get into that.
