Sure I have said it several times. there is a reason for that. I think it is ridiculous not to clean a chip if cleaning it makes it look better. I probably wouln't clean an old worn chip as cleaning it would not make it look any better.

I haven't kept score but it has been said on this board that cleaning any chip is wrong in the same manner as cleaning a coin.

BTW I diagree with what you said about cigareete stains. If burns are a part of the history of the chip so is any dirt.
