The United States military did not lose the Vietnam War. It was lost by gutless politicians who lacked the will to do what was necessary to win a war we shouldn't have been fighting to begin with. But, once we sent our young men (and women) into harm's way, it was inexcusable, if not outright criminal, to undermine their their efforts and increase their risks for political reasons.

It has been said that war is just an extension of politics. As one who was there, let me tell you it doesn't seem like politics when they're shooting at you. ----- jim o\-S
