The law passed in A.C. was to protect the CASINO WORKERS who are exposed to smoke 24/7 ... not the players who are occassionaly exposed to smoke in casinos. The same reason that smoking was prohibited in restaurants and bars has now been extended to the casino floor ... which should have been included in the original legislation for the protection of ALL employees. I would much rather see the "drop in slot table intake" than see an increased drop in people who are continuously exposed to smoke while performing their jobs. Shouldn't the "CEO/Casino Managers" be concerned about their employees health?
Plus, like the poker rooms have proven ... an initial drop in casino action may occur, but it bounced back to where more players now play poker than before the smoking ban went into effect. I think eventually there will be push for a nation-wide casino smoking ban ... except possibly for Indian casino properties.
