I guess my statement was geared towards whats happening across America right now and most recently in my own hometown.
Owners of bars and restaraunts in Houston are being forced to either go non-smoking or close thier doors. This hits several of my friends who own bars hard as they have been operating under the law and allowing smoking for many years. They will now lose thier business to those bars outside city limits and cant do a thing about it.
Just doesnt seem like something the government should be doing.
If it is true that a growing majority of people dont want smoking they should make it known to those establishments and have them make thier own decisions to go smokless, not be forced to by the government to do so.
There is already too much government control over my life and personal decisions now, do we really need more?
Once again I understand where your coming from and would never advocate smoking at a ball game or concert, but in a bar that I own..... thats really pushing the limit of where we are headed which sounds more like George Orwells 1984 than the America I know.
Take care and see you in Vegas,
Doug
