Re: ...and if it's determined the material is stol

Thanks Ed, it's always good to have someone clear things up like that from time-to-time in our moment of need. (Actually a good sense of humer is important when dealing with bunny chips.) These things are just like the magazines; no one can throw them out. First there was the Playboy Hat and Cane hoard, then the Playboy roulette and later backup chip hoards, then the Manchester one and five Pound hoard (maybe a mini hoard in comparison). I was getting clues that there may be the same thing eventually in Rhodes, it seems that the locals don't have any problems finding any (yes, even the rarest) chips at the presentation of the greenback.

Trying to get back on track thought, my point to John was;
Someone in NJ screwed up big time in not making sure the chips were destroyed. The big question is how will they fix this, otherwise they will have to comeup with potentially $100,000s. Playboy inc will be watching this as well I'll bet. The easiest way out is for NJGCB to say that the chips were stolen off the dock while awaiting their disposal. Therefore, there is no way to determine a hot chip from an old chip and the Playboy redemtion is now closed. They redeem whatever Playboy money is left to Playboy, and all is well. Only now the (is the hole in TN or MS ?) wholy chips are labeled "hot". I would think that at this point LE would gather them all up to sit in an evidence room for the next twenty years.
