Good logical points Gene ... however ....

"PB had GD tokens?
GD would have had equipment to destroy tokens.
It was easier to send both chips and tokens to the same place."

Playboy opened in April, 1981 and operated for three years until April, 1984. When Atlantis took over the Playboy operation by Elsinore as the parent organization ... the Playboy $1 tokens continued to be used exclusively at Atlantis until the day it was ordered closed by the NJ Casino Control Commission 1n 1989, five years later. The property then became a non-casino hotel called "Trump World's Fair" and I recall the old Atlantis casino floor was still intact with slot machines and tables behind locked doors for years afterward. Yes, the Playboy roulettes were spirited out of the building (some say by security guards and employees) but was not given much attention because they were non-value, non-redeemable chips.

Accepting your theory that the Playboy tokens were manufactured by Green Duck and it makes sense to send the tokens AND the chips to a common facility for destruction ... the question still remains ... when were the Playboy denomination chips ordered to be destroyed and why wasn't their destruction verified and documented and what year were they eventually buried at Green Duck in Mississippi?

Back then, NJ casino control regulations were so strict that casino owners couldn't even change the color of the carpeting without prior approval from the regulators (NJCCC).
