You are correct David. In order to get a 5 chip set we considered a $1 or a $1,000. There would be no use for either one. I felt chippers would rather have a $1 than a $1,000. Right? Wrong? Who knows? I prevailed.
If its a problem, I can always throw them in, for the 1st limit. <g>
The chips with the Excalibur name and being used in the tournament will be a nice addition to collections. $15 for the set is a nice price IMO. Proceeds go to the club. I would encourage everyone to reserve the sets that they want. I would also encourage you to tell your off line friends and trading partners. The chips were approved too late to get the art work in the club magazine.
In his copy Robert Pardue gave Bee Estes credit for helping get the chips approved. I can tell you, he did not help, he "DID" get them through the Excalibur and gaming.
