Re: Not everything is collectible
In Response To: Not everything is collectible ()

Everything that is produces today as a "collectable" seems to be produced in such large quantities, thus reducing its scarcity and its collectibility down the road. What is great about casino chips, LE's and such, they are pretty limited in the amount produced. With the exception of hoards (most of which have already been found),the old casinos are long gone, there are only a certain number of chips left. So in terms of collectibility, scarcity caused by truly limited production and time, without the means to make more of them, results in something that has value and will continue to appreciate over time. But it is not scarcity alone that determines collectibility. There has to be demand for the item as well.

Pulled out my economics book from college on this post. Have a great day.
