MGM is opening a hotel/casino on the same property connected by a hallway leading to Foxwoods. MGM SUPPOSEDLY is running the MGM @ Foxwoods building while Foxwoods will still run Foxwoods. Employees of MGM will NOT be able to play on the Foxwoods building. 2 Seperate corportations. 2 seperate payrolls.

However now the juicy part !! MGM was SUPPOSE to be JUST a consultant to Foxwoods to bring in a new marketing stragety but somehow found a loophole. MGM is taking over EVERYTHING...new shops, restuarants in the FOXWOODS building.

Even juicier....the MGM @ Foxwoods should NOT be opened because it is violation of Indian Compact that the state and the Tribes have signed...THANK YOU LOWELL WICKER (fmr gov of CT). I hope that our wonderful AG is watching everything and when May 17 comes, we will see what the STATE has to say about it. But just all politicans...their hands got greased.
If the compact is violated, the state LOSES 25% of slot revenue by Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun monthly and the tribes get to keep it all !!

Don't get me wrong...it looks beautiful, but just not right.

So we'll see what happens.
