Thank you Lisa and Rich. My wife worked at the Indio, CA Post Office for 36 years. Of course Janice has a great sense of humor and usually would say something like, "We are the Post Office and we have your address."

And, yes I've been hit with excessive fees as well when mailing chips/stuff but I'd never let anyone know an extra amount, 30¢ to a dollar+/-, was what separated me from sending someone a surprise. And, you can still send a letter from Las Vegas to Point Barrow, Alaska for a pittance.
