I'm a new kid on the block, relatively speaking only been a year or so, and part of the mystique in collecting, for me anyway, is hearing the stories of the "white whale" from someone who's been in the hobby for a while. It's the long time collectors that make the hobby else it'll be a stale transction type hobby for just the few. The board and convention are a fantastic wealth of knowledge for the hobby.

Just my opinion but don't lose the momentum just re-direct your focus on a different aspect of the hobby.
