The opening weekend is indicative of how well you've marketed the movie... the following weekends are indicative of how it's playing to the public. This weekend (its 2nd) it fell just 37% from its opening weekend, which is fantastic (films usually drop about 50% in their 2nd weekend in the U.S.) This means that the public likes it and it's getting very good word-of-mouth. 21 was the #1 movie in the marketplace again... it's projected to do $13.1 million this weekend, which brings the total to 46.5.
If you want a recommendation for a great poker-related movie... go see THE GRAND if you can find it. Barry Weintraub, Steve Bedo, and I went to see it this past week and we were all howling. Absolutely hysterical and, in my opinion, destined to be a classic.
