I love playing craps don't get me wrong. (I haven't figured out what all those things with lights and bells are doing taking up good casino space.) Table games are the best part of gambling. You actually get to think and make decisions. Sorry if this offends anyone, but a monkey knows "slot strategy". Which is put in your money, pull the handle or push a button, and watch what happens. Mindless!
About your 100x odds bet. After about 10x odds, the amount of change in the player advantage is minimal, while the risk increases because of the size of the bet. (darn I can't find the figures, I'd like to back this up with numbers)
Example: Pass line bet, 1.41% casino edge; single odds 0.8% (better than four deck 21!), double odds 0.6% (notice how the change s becoming smaller?)
Unless someone is intending to take risks or trying to throw away a nice bankroll, there are only three bets on the crap table. 1) Pass {1.41} or Don't Pass {1.40} (and always take odds!) 2) Come or Don't Come (same as #1), 3) Place the 6 and/or 8 {1.52}
Example of the other bets, just in case someone wants the real numbers. Any 7 = 16.67%, 2 or 12 = 13.89%; Any Craps, hardway 4 or 10, 3 or 11, all = 11.1%, hard 6 or 8 = 9.09%. Nuff said?
