Re: Mailing Full Matchbooks Question

Open the book so it lays flat, like...um...A book! grin Then sandwich that between two pieces of cardboard, kinda loose so the cover doesn't bend, but tight enough to hold it in place. Now wrap that in a piece of thin bubble wrap (or the end of a bubble mailer made into a pocket). Now stick the whole thing in yet another bubble mailer, but affix your little package with some tape to the middle of the envelope.

The reason I'm erring on the side of protection here is that my roomate got a gorilla-handled package just today. It was cross-stich cloth, but somehow the USPS managed to mangle her package (whick was in a rip-stop, plastic envelope) with another persons. We recieved the torn-up contents of both packages!

I'm just worried now about sending and recieving items as I've seen so much more damage to packages in the past 3 years or so. On one of my last big wins on eBay I actually overpaid S&H and INS, and asked the seller to make the package Gorilla Proof! grin

The sad thing is, I should have never even had to contemplate that thought if our Postal Service were being run properly. Alas...
