I got a Kodak-DC-2something a year or so ago and have been very pleased with it. I bought the biggest compact flash memory stick they sold at the time. Don't remember what it is in size but it holds 170 high-resoluation pictures, which is more than I've ever needed even on a trip. I looked at the Mavica too and it seemed very attractive. Back then the Mavica didn't come in as high resolution as it does today, which is part of the reason I didn't go for it. The other reason, which is still true, is I felt that floppies are kind of fragile and was concerned about having to worry about keeping them safe during travel.
