It's scary, but you'll be o.k.
You need to think about fun stuff that you want to do when you feel better. Remember the time you put Mike's chips on ebay, to get money for treats? Wasn't that fun? (I know he was mad about the $10 "buy it now" on his best chips, but you didn't know...and he got over it )
And Mike will wait on you hand and foot, and give you extra treats...you'll like that! (What you need to do, when you start to feel better, is do some exercising at night when Mike is asleep. That way you'll get stronger, BUT when he's awake you need to lay around and give him "puppy dog eyes" to make him feel sorry for you. A little whimper now and then is good, too. )
Another thing you might want to do, when you're exercising at night, is pick on the cat a little (not too much, just enough to be annoying). Then, sometime when Mike is around, but not looking at you, give the cat "the look" so it thinks you're about to come after it. The cat will pounce on you with a loud 'eeeeeoooowww' which is your cue for a whimper. Mike will look around, and see the cat "attacking" you...chances are pretty good that you'll get the cat's treats for a few days! Won't that be fun?
Hang in there, Coco, just remember that it will be worth it when you're feeling better .
