I ask for your vote as The new Membership Officer

1. Hello !! Some of you know me from the Chipboard. I have been a member for three years now and recently took on Life membership. I have been a Chip collector for nine years and have collecting Basketball cards, comic books and other items most of my life. Casino chips by far has been the longest hobby that I have enjoyed and It continues to fascinate me as much if not more than when I first began. I have met many great people in this club that have also helped to further my collection and knowledge in Casino Chips.I learned early on that this wasn’t an ordinary club. There have been other clubs that I would join and quickly tire. I think people are what make this club great. Gregs Chipboard also is the glue that brings us together. I have received so much from our club and I would love to give back. That’s why I nominated myself for the membership position that opened up recently when vacated by Sunday Silverman. I know that many of you do not know me and I invite any questions that you may have. Please feel free to email me at sbhomes4you@gmail.com. Here is a little about myself. I live in Santa Barbara, California. Born and Raised fourth generation. I am 42 years old and a father or 2 Girls, Cameron 11 years and Ryann 13 years old. I have been Divorced for 10 years and get along better with my ex than when we were married. I now live with my girlfriend of 8 years. I am an Agent For Re Max Realty and work most weekends with clients but also work another job in the grocery business during the week for Health benefits and a steady check. I drive an American car and own my home.

I have been a “responsible” person my whole life and I have worked since I was 12 years old in a family owned business that was originally a hardware store that eventually relocated to another town and became a gas station that sold everything from hardware to hard liquor. I ran that business for about 11 years and learned the many highs and lows of running a business from payroll to hiring and firing. I left the family Business when I went through my Divorce. My wife at the time worked for Lucky, a grocery store and I enjoyed the fantastic health benefits that I was soon to lose and hence my journey to grocery to maintain those benefits. Since then I have worked at Home Depot where I was a Dept head of hardware and often was given the store keys and ask to be MOD (manager on Duty) they saw my leadership skills as well as hardware experience. During this time I studied for my Real Estate License and passed the State Exam during a good but slow market. When I started selling I noticed things kept slowing down but thought they will improve and I will work harder. As we all know times kept tightening even more. I don’t give up and I devoted 40 to 60 hours a week and even left my Home Depot job to pursue Real Estate full time. When my refinance money started running short I knew what had to be done. I returned to grocery where I always flourished as someone willing to work harder than the rest to gain more hours and better shifts. Today I run the Receiving Dept and this is a spot that comes round once in a blue moon. It requires a lot of responsibility and only a select few are trusted by the store manager to run that position. You have to always watch for the best interests of the store over co worker friendships or popularity. I was able to earn this spot after my return in under 10 months and That’s almost unheard of to have keys that quickly but I am known as honest, reliable and very hard working. In this position there aren’t any others to work your spot in case of illness and requires a person that show up ready to work hard and is on time everyday. I am telling you this for two reasons, 1, that there are many here that really don’t know me and 2, to show you my work ethics that will extend to the membership position. I know this is a position of great responsibility and take it very seriously. I feel my life experiences make me a perfect candidate for the membership position. Real Estate has also taught me good people skills as well as using a computer to manage my business and time efficiently. I excel in communication and many consider me to be honest and fair but strict in my values

If I am elected I will have time every afternoon to work on membership duties I work Monday thru Friday from 4 am until noon each day thus having the whole afternoon open for club work. I am readily available via Email or phone and will respond quickly to your questions/needs. I believe in running my duties in an organized manner but I also like to make tasks fun and would love to step up an help this club grow. I feel more than ready to fill this position and had in fact planned on running for it next time it came around. I am looking to fill the membership position for long term and feel any candidate should be prepared to stay in it for many years as there are club costs involved anytime that the spot changes hands. That will reduce any unnecessary expenses for us. I would appreciate that you consider me for this spot and vote for the person that you feel will be best for our club and best serve regardless of popularity or years with the club. Thank you for reading. John S. Reynolds LM 6920-223
