Just spoke with Darrell. He's driving past the closed Nevada Landing casino in Jean, NV. He says the bulldozers are demolishing the front and rear portions of the casino.
Since the Real Estate market slowdown in Vegas, I had heard that MGM's original plan to demolish this casino to make way for affordable employee housing and maybe a new golf resort had been put on indefinite hold.
Maybe they didn't want it to turn into a resort for the homeless (like the Klondike has become).
Sigh... bye-bye desert riverboat.
