I went to the National Money Show Friday. My original plan for the day was canceled so decided to see if anyone had chips at the show and I new I could find some paper to add to Mike's money posts.
There was only one dealer with some chips and he had two buckets of chips. A two dollar bucket and five dollar bucket, sort a a warm-up for the Convention.
No big finds or surprises.
I wish I did not wait until after lunch. Two guys were going thru the buckets when I found the dealer. Of course he was on the oposite end of the floor from were I started looking. The guys were not members and had not heard of the CCGTCC. One went off with a bag of chips and the other bought almost a full rack, so maybe they got most of the "good" stuff. I found a few things I liked and got some traders. The exibits were interesting for the most part. I liked the one about native bride price money. In Africa it could be hard on the maidens if the village was raided by the neighbors. The raiders were in a hurry so they just cut off the poor girls heads to steal there bride price rings. I am sure Mike would have liked the money displays. Never saw a $100,000 bill before.
