....either party can default on a deal. You are taking the risk and YOU minimize your risk by mailing a CHECK rather than cash (NOTE: I said minimize not eliminate). He minimizes his risk by WAITING until payment has arrived.

Even if he gets the money in hand then sends the coins HE IS AT RISK of you claiming they never arrived, or there were shortages. So insurance, delivery confirmation... etc. MORE ways to MINIMIZE risk, it doesn't make EITHER party dishonorable it makes them prudent.

So your argument that only YOU are taking the risk does not hold water. Both of you have risks.

If you feel you were slighted and dishonored by the deal why did you go through with it??
