Now, the BoD listened to a LOT of suggestions and came up with a bunch of our own regarding incentives to members to get them to stay at the Riviera. We felt that the best suggestion by far was the early entry onto the bourse floor… it is impactful and it shows dealer cooperation with our initiative.
Your comment that we are penalizing Las Vegas residents is not very constructive. Where were you when suggestions for incentives were being made? Why couldn’t you come up with something that would be more fair to Las Vegas residents? Have you, to date, heard a better solution to the problem?
I am not going to address your response line-by-line because previous posts by better writers than I have dealt with everything you’ve said. I will say that virtually everyone else has their heads now wrapped around this and understand the need and form of the incentive. Those who have not accepted or are still complaining about this solution either don’t get it or are too selfish to care about the future of the Club’s conventions.
