I've only been in the club for a few years, and in that time I've attended two conventions. Both times I stayed at the Orleans, mainly because I could get comped or discounted rooms for my play there. As I read some of the concerns this year, I changed my reservations from the Orleans to the Riviera. I guess I didn't realize in the past how important it was to stay at the convention hotel. So I'm trying to do the right thing for the club, and I appreciate the incentives (they don't make up for the difference in costs, though, but I'm willing, and fortunately able, to pay the difference). The funny thing is, the incentive that excites me the least is getting onto the convention floor an hour early; I may take advantage of it, and I may not. I would imagine that there will still be some things to buy if I don't get to the floor immediately upon it opening.
