Do you honestly believe that if we announced that registration for those staying at the Riv was $20 but those not staying at the Riv would be $50 wouldnt cause more of an outcry than we already have.
The "Penalty" thoerists would come out of the woodwork claiming how unfair it is to treat some members differently than others.
No matter what was or is decided there will be a group of unhappy people.
The idea for the early admission was a solution that was proposed to us that seemed like a good benefit that would 1) add no additional costs to the members and 2) add no additional costs to the club.
If we were to offer this early admission for a fee, then others would claim that we were penalizing those who had little money and couldnt afford it.
What the BOD had decided was considered long and hard and contrary to popular belief was made because we believe that it benefited the majority of the club members in the long run. Knowing full well that you cant please everyone, decisions need to be made to benefit the majority.
I sugest that everyone who has a problem or concern with any of the BOD decisions write any club official to voice thier complaint or attend the club business meeting during the convention. This will be added to the agenda for the next BOD meeting and it will be taken into consideration again.
The bottom line is that we all love the club and want to see it suceed. For people to believe that there is some hidden agenda by the BOD is simply ludicrous.
I sincerely hope we can get a chance to get together this year in Vegas and discuss your ideas in greater detail.
