I have had metal detectors for 35 years now. Got my first one right after I got married and we just celebrabed the 35th anniversary. I have been a member is 3 or 4 different detector clubs and have participated in numerous professional hunts. I don't use my machine very much any more except when I travel, especially overseas. My oldest daughter was the only 10 year old girl in her school that had a real gold ring on her finger. Unfortunately most of the stuff I found was stolen in a robery 15 years ago. Very relaxing hobby and like chip collecting in that the fun is in the hunt.
