Got mine way back, spring '01. Jim Fredrickson put on a chip show at the Chinook Winds. Jim ran the poker room there. Met Steve Goodrich selling his new WA. guide, my first chipper friend. Another fellow there, told him "I owe you $30". Sure got Mel Jung's attention! grin I'd done some email tradeing and buying with Mel. Jim put on a poker tourney for the show and he'd salt the pot occasionally with one of these tokens, fresh from the vault. Managed to win about a half dozen. Carried one with me to my first convention that June to use as a cardguard during the poker tournament over at the Orleans. My intent was to give it up as a bounty to whoever bounced me out of my second ever poker game. Limit hold'em. Paul Sax showed a full house to beat my diamond flush. Put me out in 5th place. $255. No way I'm giving up that G.O. token! Sorry Paul, I owe you too, it seems vbg Been packing that puppy with me every time I sit at the felt. My experience is that these tokens will bring you fortune and friends! That's a good thing.

These pieces have a gold tone that doesn't show well in my scan. Mt. Hood shows behind the fishy. Going to see you and David on Sunday at Jim's, Carol?
