Te Federal Republic of Germany is a country in Central Europe that is bordered to the north by Denmark, the North Sea, and Baltic Sea; to the east by Poland and the Czech Republic; to the south by Switzerland and Austria; and to the west by the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France.
The notes used in that time frame were the 1960 issued notes. There was only one 1963 issue note but it was never released. I selected the 1960 issue 5 Deutsche Mark (1 Deutsche Mark = 100 Pfennig) because it is probably the most recognized German note and the note featured was also given to me from someone serving in the military during that time. The front features the painting of “Young Venetian Woman” by Albrecht Durer. The back is a simple design with an oak sprig and acorns at center. The watermark is the same as the portrait and contains UV coding. This note has a low book of only face value because of staple holes in the note. (I do not replace it because of its donor). I have also included the original art work. ENJOY!!
