I'm sure most chip dealers share your desire to know the market prices.

As a collector only (as opposed to a collector/dealer), I can still appreciate the value of knowing what different chips are worth. What many people resent is this board becoming overposted (is that a word?) with people repeatedly advertising their sales and auctions. If someone is interested in a particular chip, I'm pretty sure they will pick up on the fact that a sale/auction is going on after the first time the info is posted and can conduct further business via e-mail.
