I don't think it was promoted only for "high rollers". They are trying to attract Asian customers, hence the lucky $8. I think if it were meant for high rollers it would be a higher denomination chip. The casinos are aware of the HUGE Asian market by the reports coming out of Macau.

I'm disappointed because they haven't given any to me.
