In answer to what happens on Wed & Thurs, I don't know about this year but typically it goes something like this:

WEDNESDAY
Registration opens in the morning.
General trade session from 9:00am to 4:00pm
Possibly a "first-timers" educational seminar in the afternoon
Early Bird Banquet on Wednesday night with a trade session afterwards

THURSDAY
Morning educational seminar at around 8 or 8:30am
Registration opens again
Showroom (dealer tables) opens at 10:00
Possible afternoon educational seminar
Showroom entrance closes at 5:30, showroom closes at 6:00
Trade session beginning at 7:00pm

There will be a schedule of events published in the club magazine prior to the convention, and there is a booklet with the schedule available at the convention registration desk.
