Interesting article for 21 players today. Gives a rundown on the fellows that wrote the first blackjack strategy guide 50 years ago, 1957. I'd heard bits and pieces on this and slightly inaccurate versions and this covers some of the tale. A group of bored US Army guys crunching numbers. Inspired the famous cardcounters that followed including Edward O. Thorp. Keep in mind that they never advocated splitting tens just because you're drunk and they never tried following play in a Washinton state cardroom.
