Hollywood Park YOT Rat chips….But what a $1 bill it is!!
Thanks Mike! For those of you that are like me that have no clue about currencies, this is what Mike tells me about this note, “The note is the LAST of the large ‘saddle blanket’ notes printed. After 1923 the government went to the ‘small size’ notes we use today. In 1923 we were still on the silver standard so this note is good for One Silver Dollar (but I think the government ran out of Silver Dollars a long time ago). The paper is 25% linen and 75% cotton and the paper was made by Crane just like the notes of today.” Mike, this was truly an unexpected surprise and will be proudly displayed.
