recently built Las Vegas golf courses and housing tracts utilize recycled water for their landscaping...not clean enough to drink but good enough grow plants & vegetation. In addition to that, many of the recently built golf courses in Las Vegas are designed & built in such a fashion that allows each individual course to collect & filter "run-off" of this irrigation water and reintroduce it back into the cycle. Older courses that don't use these systems are spending the money to implement them simply because the costs for fresh water will soon price them out.
FYI -- this same technology is used in construction of football, baseball & soccer fields (big & small, professional & high school) throughout the western United States.
