UNCASVILLE, CT (January 29, 2008) – The Northeast’s premiere destination has set another trend. In the past year, Mohegan Sun was the first casino to introduce half-cent slots and PokerPro® to the East Coast. Now in 2008, Mohegan is the only casino in the United States to offer quarter-cent slots.
It’s four times the fun at these new slots as a player’s odds of winning quadruples. The machines, which are located near the escalators in the winter section of Casino of the Earth, give customers the chance to win up to 80,000 credits and wager up to 500 credits per bet. Currently, Mohegan Sun houses 14 of the quarter-cent slots and plans are underway to add additional machines over the next few weeks.
Under a current gaming compact with the State of Connecticut, Mohegan Sun gives the State 25-percent of the monthly slot revenue. After the completion of its Project Horizon expansion in 2010, Mohegan Sun will be home to over 7,600 slot machines.
